Dark Mofo – last Siren Call sunrise

Where: Purdon & Featherstone Reserve, Battery Point, Tasmania

When: 14 June 2017

Equipment: Canon 70D with a Canon 18-135mm lens

Photo details: ISO 100, 18mm, f/3.5, 1/40 sec

Editing: Minor editing in Lightroom Classic CC

Notes: Canon Collective inspired me to climb out of bed at a ridiculous hour in the middle of winter to watch the sun rise and listen to the Siren’s Call. The Siren’s Call was a eery but beautiful tune that was broadcast through hundreds of speakers placed all around Hobart each sunrise and sunset throughout Dark Mofo.

Notes: Took advantage of some mild weather to haul my body and soul down to the beach to watch the sunrise. It was beautiful. Just as I was about to leave, these two gentlemen climbed out of their car, launched their boat and took off quick smart. They weren’t wasting any time!

Pier Pressure

No I haven’t fallen off the edge of the world . . . yet.

Tasmania’s been blessed with some spectacular weather recently. Summer seems to have finally arrived… right as it turns to Autumn. I’ve been out and about taking photos and scouting for night/set rise shots. Actually I’ve keep a rather erratic schedule these past few days, resulting in lots of photos but not enough time to edit them and post them! Something to look forward to though. In the mean time enjoy this little one prepared earlier . . .
