Mountains aren’t just funny . . .

They are hill areas.

Where: Mt Wellington, Tasmania

When: 8 March 2017

Equipment: Canon 70D with a Canon 18-135mm lens

Photo details: ISO 100, 19mm, f/18, 1/200sec

Editing: Minor adjustments done in Lightroom CC

Notes: Went up the mountain to scout for the perfect sunrise location. Was unusually warm and barely any wind up there. For those who aren’t Tasmanian, Mt Wellington is normally quite cool at the top, even in summer. And almost always windy. This day I was walking around in a t-shirt with my hair down, without having to worry about knotting, witch-standing-on-end hair!

How do you organise a space party?

You planet!

Notes: Took advantage of clear skies and warm weather to drag my sorry butt out of bed (unnaturally early hour for me!) to watch the sunrise from the mountain. Got up there in time to snag this shot of the pinnacle and the tower just getting lighter (sun wasn’t up yet) and the milky way!
