Not quite Sleeping Beauty

Where: Taroona Beach, Tasmania

When: 27 October 2016

Equipment: Canon 70D with a Tokina 11-16mm lens

Photo details: ISO 800, 11mm, f/2.8, 30.0 secs

Editing: Minor adjustments done in Lightroom CC

Notes: Sadly missed the most active time for this aurora. But it was a pleasant evening out, on a mostly clear night (in comparison to some of the aurora opportunities lately). And as a side note, I did realise it was the first time I’d used my Tokina lens for night photography, despite having bought it a year earlier. Thrilled with the results, and you’ll see more posted no doubt.

I can sea clearly now

A little bit of a late comment I suppose, but please excuse the mass addition of posts. I have a few already edited images so I decided to get them up and online sooner than later.

And get use to the puns and jokes. I’m enjoying them!

What do you call a seagull when it flies over the bay?

Answer: A Bagel!

Bad I know, so onto the more important stuff.

Photo details: ISO 250, 119mm, f/5.6, 1/320 sec
