I hate insect puns

. . . they really bug me!

Where: My backyard, West Hobart

When: 2 January 2017

Equipment: Canon 70D with a Canon 18-135mm lens

Photo details: ISO 200, 135mm, f/5.6, 1/250 sec

Editing: Minor adjustments done in Lightroom CC

Notes: The European Bumblebee, bombus terrestris. Whilst awesomely large and rather pretty looking, this species is an invasive feral pest in Tasmania. They were discovered in our state in 1992, though how remains a mystery. I know they’re a pest, but I do find these ‘B-52’ bees seriously awesome.
